EVERKEY Version 6 Release Status

The "Production" release of Keshow.exe Version 6 is now available.  This means that all feature updates to the core internals have been frozen.  This "freeze" had to be completed in order to finish Kebuild.exe and Kechk.dll, which are the next Version 6 programs to be released. 

Kebuild.exe now uses a "tabbed interface" so it is really the only program that the Developer (or their Staff) needs to learn to use.  You will now be able to Build Keys, Show Keys, Build Kechk Source, Build Renew Codes and Interpret Error Codes from this one program. 

The final Version 6 program to be released will be Renew.exe.  As soon as each program is tested and stable, we will bump the lowest version number and declare it non-Beta.

EVERKEY Version 6 Top 10 Requested Features

Version 6 is a brand new release with features based on direct Customer Feedback.  Special Thanks to Bert, Chris, Dan, Jill, Kevin, Mary Ann and Wayne for helping us Beta test.  Here are the Top-10 requested features for Version 6:

1. Kebuild.exe and Kechk.dll need to be released ASAP.  Approved. 
2. Version 6 needs to support the Lower-Priced, Driverless Rockey4ND Key.  Approved. 
3. Developers need to be able to "burn" User Registration Information into each Key and later retrieve it using Kechk.dll.  Approved. 
4. Kebuild.exe (which now Builds Renew Codes) needs to support every Version 2 command-line option, as well as new ones for building every type of Renew Code.  Approved. 
5. Developers need to be able to selectively reveal the User-Data and Feature-Flags (User-Data Flags) for diagnostic purposes.  And this should not require the secret Primary PIN for the Product.  Approved. 
6. Allow Renew Codes to be built that "expire" after a specified date.  Approval Pending. 
7. Version 6 needs to include a Renew.dll in addition to the Renew.exe program.  Approval Pending. 
8. Allow the Developer to verify that the End-User has provided the correct Renew Use-Count when requesting a Renew Code.  Approved. 
9. Keshow.exe needs to support the "/B" and "/O" command-line options.  Approved. 
10. Allow Renew Codes to be built for multiple Keys in the same Batch Mode session.  Approval Pending.

EVERKEY Version 6 Upgrade Overview

The entire EVERKEY System is being completely upgraded to support the latest Operating Systems and newest cutting-edge Hardware.  Plus the new User-Interface is written in a language and framework which not only supports Windows, but Mac OS X and Linux as well. 

The Version 6 upgrade supports the Rockey4ND.  This USB Key does not require ANY Device Drivers to be loaded before it's plugged in.  That makes your Product simpler to use and should dramatically lower the number of Support calls. 

Of course, the current Rockey4s (USB and Parallel) are still supported, but require Device Drivers to be installed.  The AzRockey.exe program will do that for you. 

All programs now support Unicode UTF-16.  This means that fields like "Description", "Name", "Company", etc. can be entered in the Developer's native language.

The initial release of EVERKEY Version 6 supports all 32-bit and 64-bit Editions of Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Server.  Future releases are planned for Mac OS X and Linux.

2010_02_23 Keshow.exe v6.2.5 Released.

• More expanatory messages are displayed when no Keys are found and the Rockey4 drivers have not been installed. 
• You may now enter up to 8 PINs as Command-Line options. 
• PINs that are entered on the Command-Line or through the "?" Help buttons are now "remembered" until Keshow is closed. 

2010_02_20 AzRockey.exe v6.2.5 Released.

• Updated to include the latest Rockey4 Device Drivers from Feitian. 
• These Device Drivers offer better support for Windows 7. 

2010_02_17 Keshow.exe v6.2.4 Released.

• Beta status has been dropped which means that all feature updates to the core internals have been frozen. 
• Support was added for separate PINs for the Feature-Flags and User-Data.  Now you can selectively display the Feature-Flags and/or User-Data without divulging the Product's "secret" Primary PIN. 
• Help buttons "?" now display explanations why information is not shown if there is an Error or a PIN is required. 
• The "Expire Date" is now displayed in the correct format based on the System Local Region settings. 
• Many cosmetic and usability improvements. 
• All iButton support was removed to simplify the system. 

2009_10_22 AzRockey.exe v6.2.4 Released.

• Supports for "silent install" was added so you can suppress all Az-Tech screens and logos. 
• The Installation Engine was upgraded to the latest version so all Windows 7 editions would be supported. 

2008_03_31 Keshow.exe v6.2.3 Beta Released.

• The Rockey4ND "fingerprint" needed to be changed for stronger security and better compatibility. 
• iButton support was added for Parallel Holders. 
• Diagnostic messages for missing Device Drivers were added to eliminate the need for a separate Azshow.exe program. 

2007_10_21 AzRockey.exe v6.2.2 Released.

• This single-click setup program makes it EASY to install the latest Rockey4 Device Drivers on any 32-bit or 64-bit system from Windows 2000 thru Vista, including Server Editions.  It replaces both InstDrv32.exe and InstDrv64.exe setup programs. 

2007_09_17 Keshow.exe v6.2.2 Beta Released.

• The display of Rockey4ND devices was enabled even though all devices will show up with a 6021 Error because they have not been programmed with Everkey.exe.  You can now show the presence and Lasered-ID of all inserted Rockey4 and Rockey4ND devices.
• The display of the User-Data was changed to show all 16 bytes instead of 14.
• The ASCII and Unicode character display of the User-Data was changed to show all characters even if there are terminator characters embedded in the string.  An embedded terminator character (binary zero) is represented by a "." (period).
